One side is the work I get hired for. Brands, events, weddings, portraits, the pictures a business needs to be taken seriously.
The other is the reason I picked up a camera in the first place. People, culture, wildlife, cities after dark, and landscapes that refuse to fit inside a frame.
Six continents and more than fifty countries later, both sides still run on the same three things. Get close. Wait for the moment. Never fake it.
My father put a camera in my hands when I was twelve and explained composition before he explained anything else. I have not put it down since.
After school I left Frankfurt for what was supposed to be a short trip. It turned into years, then continents, then a few hundred thousand frames. What I learned out there is what I bring to every shoot at home: the picture is never about the gear. It is about being there when something real happens, and being ready for it.
