School ended and I left for what I called a little journey. It turned into three years. I came back with more than two hundred thousand frames, a worn-out body, and a very different idea of what a photograph is actually for.
One side pays the bills. The other is the reason I picked up a camera in the first place. Same eye, same patience, different brief.
Not with the lens. With the people. A picture changes the second someone forgets the camera is there.
Most of this job is standing still. The frame is already built. I am waiting for the one second that fills it.
No staged tears, no invented light. If it did not happen in front of me, it does not end up in the edit.
